Joel Baumgartner

Dr. Joel Baumgartner is a physician who is board certified and has a fellowship in non-surgical orthopedics and sports medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and completed his family practice residency at the University of North Dakota.

Dr. Baumgartner completed his advanced training in sports medicine with a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center. He uses the latest diagnostic and treatment technology to treat musculoskeletal injury and pain. As an international speaker, he teaches physicians and medical professionals about pain evaluation, diagnosis, and the latest treatment options.

Dr. Baumgartner has authored a book on Prolotherapy and PRP technique, and he is also a contributing author on the subject of pain management for various publications.

Eric Phillippi

Dr. Eric Phillippi was raised in Menomonee Falls, a Milwaukee suburb, before relocating to Madison in 2004 to pursue his education. He holds both undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, completing his Doctor of Medicine in 2014. Dr. Phillippi served as Chief Resident for the Family Medicine program at the University of Wisconsin – Madison from 2016-2017, where he provided a wide range of patient care with a focus on procedural medicine. During his residency, he sought out additional training in office-based surgical procedures.

Dr. Phillippi was involved in medical student instruction and coaching at the UW – School of Medicine and Public Health. In the autumn of 2018, he began training under Dr. Richard Owens, founder of Minor Procedures and VeinCarePlus. Following Dr. Owens’ retirement in February 2019, Dr. Phillippi took over his practice, now known as Medical Procedures of Wisconsin.

Dr. Phillippi’s professional interests include procedural medicine, global health, emergency and urgent care, physician well-being, and medical technology integration.

Dr. Rahul Desai is the founder of RestorePDX, specializing in musculoskeletal radiology and interventional joint and spine medicine. Dr. Desai was awarded a full-ride National Merit Scholarship to attend The Ohio State University, where he graduated with honors in Biology and Environmental Sciences. He attended medical school at Medical University of Ohio and completed his radiology training at the University of Toledo Health Sciences Campus. He then completed the prestigious musculoskeletal and spinal intervention fellowship at Mallincrokdt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis.

Brian Shiple

Dr. Brian Shiple is a recognized leader in the fields of interventional and integrative orthopedic medicine, regenerative injection treatment (RIT), sports medicine, and diagnostic ultrasound. He has been in private practice since 2006 after completing thirteen years as the division chief of Sports Medicine and founder and director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship program at Crozer-Keystone Health System in the Greater Philadelphia area.

He is involved in clinical research and is an active member of various national sports medicine and orthopedic organizations. In the past fifteen years, he has spoken at over one hundred conferences and taught RIT to more than a thousand doctors from eighteen countries. He has also made seven medical service trips to Honduras where he provided prolotherapy treatments to underserved people in that country.

Dr. Shiple has taught at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and has held an academic appointment at Temple University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the International Cellular Medicine Society, the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine, and the International Spine Intervention Society.

In addition to helping thousands of patients through his own practice, Dr. Shiple served as team physician to several local school districts, was the founding medical director of the Philadelphia Triathlon at Fairmount Park, was the chief medical officer of the Pennsylvania State Games from 1994-2006, and was a volunteer team physician of the US Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs in 2003.
